Givenchy Barbed Wire Skeleton White T-Shirt

Born in Beauvais, northern France, in 1927, Hubert James Taffin de Givenchy was the son of nobility on his father’s side and an artistic tradition on his mother’s. His father passed away when Hubert was 3 and he was raised by his mother and maternal grandmother, who instilled in him a passion for creativity, fashion and fabrics. Eventually outgrowing his home town at the age of 17 Givenchy left his home to take up an apprenticeship in Paris. After following a recommendation he received from Cristian Dior, in 1946 Givenchy worked for a brief stint at Lucien Lelong in 1947, before joining the house of legendary designer Elsa Schiaparelli, where he worked his way up to become artistic director of the Schiaparelli boutique on Place Vendôme. Not long after, in 1952 founded his own brand established in Paris. With his first collection coming out known as “The Line Of Separates”. His brand offered elegant silhouettes and simple fabrics which also made it an instant hit with VOGUE to be “One of the most newsworthy happenings that spring”. It wasn’t long until it started catching the eyes of celebrities most notably stated, Audrey Hepburn.
