A latest AJ5 colorway is scheduled to premiere March 4, continuing the long-lasting Jordan tradition of championing university colors. The most fitting university color, the collegiate blue coloring celebrates Micheal Jordan’s alma mater, University of North Carolina. University Blue suede is the dominant feature of the shoe, a color that has painted several recent Jordan releases. 

In classic Jordan 5 style, a shiny tongue and prominent Jumpman logo add to the shoe’s icy feel. The cold coloring also shines through via the subtle light mesh and snowy outsole. In this iteration, the designers chose to forgo the typical Jordan branding on the back of the shoe in favor of the Team Jordan logo. Also a classic element, the spiky sole design and chunky blue lace lock bring in the signature graphic feel of AJ5s.
