Air Jordan 8 “Playoffs”

Bringing us back to Jordan’s early 90s playoff days, we’ll get the newest iteration of the AJ8 “Playoffs” at the end of the month. The last release of the colorway was in 2013 and the original was dropped in 2007. A fitting retro-treatment will be applied to the shoe in the 2023 release. Graphic and 90s like its silhouette, this colorway will feature bright reds, blues, and yellows. The primary colors will be set against the standard black color-blocking with vibrant opposition.

The new release will notably feature red pull tags, differing from its predecessor. However, the haphazard lines will remain consistent, filling the midsole, inner, and sections of the sole. Of course, most of the silhouette will be the classic black; straps, overlays, Air technology will all conform to the dark coloring. In other color blocking, there are sections of red with blue and yellow playing second fiddle, present mostly on the sole and the backside of the tongue. The Bulls’ “True Red” outlines the 23 and fills much of the non-black areas of the shoe.
