RELEASE RADAR: Travis Scott x Jordan Cut the Check

The highly anticipated release of Travis Scott’s first ever signature shoe “Cut the Check” may be soon approaching. Recently, we’ve seen Scott out and about showing off the new silhouette in a few hues. Notably, on the red carpet, the rapper debuted a darker colorway, colored in black and brown. Rumors have spread that we may have a public release of the shoe by the end of the year. A placeholder release date has been set on January 1st, however it’s likely with the public sightings of the shoe that a release will be sooner. 

 We’ve also received pictures of the brighter colorway from Scott himself, set for release sometime around next summer. In this version, the design looks like the sole, midsole, and straps will be filled with a Sail coloring, while the subtle backdrop of the shoe is darker. Like many other Travis Scott x Jordan collabs, the signature shoe will feature a backwards swoosh on the outer sides of the shoe. A red jumpman can also be seen poking out from the top of the tongue. The shoe may also incorporate Travis Scott’s iconography from the recently released album, “Utopia”, likely on the oversized straps at least.

 On top of this, Scott also wore a third colorway of the shoe recently, with similar sail coloring but different color blocking. In this colorway, the accents are provided by electric blues and yellows which make up the outsole and inner constructions. No details have been released as it pertains to a public drop of this version.
