Product Description

A Bathing Ape (BAPE) se fundó en 1993. Ese fue el año en que el fundador Tomoaki Nagao (Nigo) abrió una tienda en el distrito de moda de renombre mundial Ura-Harajuku llamada NOWHERE en asociación con el fundador de Undercover, Jun Takahashi. Ambos asistieron a Bunka Fashion College, a lo que Nigo atribuye haber hecho "cero" por él, aparte de darle la oportunidad de conocer a Takahashi. La pareja también contó con la ayuda del "Padrino de Harajuku" Hiroshi Fujiwara. Utilizó su experiencia y su influencia para asegurar el éxito de NOWHERE desde su apertura. Nigo continuaría diseñando con Fujiwara a lo largo de su carrera, y como resultado se ganó el apodo de "Nigo", que significa Número 2.
