A long time in the making, Clot’s “Cork” collab with Nike is finally coming to the surface. According to the brand, this release has been 10 years in the making and celebrates the Chinese brand’s 20th anniversary. While dunks traditionally are constructed in white leather, the collaboration will substitute cork in this aspect. This serves as an ode to the “early days’ corkboard planning of Clot’s Creative Director Edison Chen. Like many other Clot x Nike collaborations, this release celebrates individuality and creativity of the wearers. The shoe encourages personalization, and includes a few options for sneaker heads to choose from.
Notably, the swooshes are velcro attached, allowing the wearer to switch out the iconic Nike symbol depending on their personal styling. Six options will be available including red, snakeskin, teal, silver, copper, and fuschia. In addition, three different laces will be available. The most unique of these is work boot-inspired, black and patterned. There will also be an option which matches the teal detachable swoosh.
